Our Mission & Program
Our Mission
CORE4 Skills mission is to reshape the way children learn and achieve. We use a modern, systematic, hands-on, purpose-driven method. In our program, kids learn from skilled teachers and professionals in their community and walk away with countless skills and methods that will assist them in unlocking their potential and living a happy and healthy life.
Our Program
CORE4 Skills teaches the life skills we all need but don’t learn in school.
Food Fitness Finances & Friendships (the four F’s). The program gives students a base of knowledge and skills to help them navigate through challenges they will face throughout their lives, from the food they eat to the texts they send. In this hands-on course, students learn by doing…they will get the chance to practice the skills they learn in each session and also in a group community-based project on the last day of camp.
What students will learn in the program:
By the end of the course, kids will be empowered to make choices and understand the consequences in dealing with many every day decisions. The program is designed to help foster a shift to self-reliance, gaining confidence in making their own choices and collaborating with peers. Here are just some of the things learned in the program:
- 10 things everyone should know how to do in the kitchen
- 5 skills to be fit forever
- Master the FOOD/FIT connection
- How to invest your first $50
- Skills for getting along with anyone
- How to conquer a bully – online and off
- Social Media smarts
- Perform CPR and First Aid – CPR certification
- Collaborate with others
- Techniques for handling stress

Our Executive Team and Teachers

Cheryl Cepuran
Founder, President
Read about Cheryl
Cheryl left her career as a corporate marketing executive to start CORE4 Skills, Inc. She understood that although our schools are proficient at teaching academics, little or no attention is paid to life skills that we all need to survive and thrive in today’s world. Cheryl developed CORE4 to fill that gap by creating a program that teaches kids the basic life skills they require, in a practical and fun environment.
